The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) was a Canadian government-led investigation into the disproportionate number of missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada. From 2016 to 2019, the inquiry heard testimonies from over 2,300 family members, survivors, and experts, shedding light on the systemic injustices and violence faced by Indigenous women.
